I reserve the right to decline, defer, or discontinue services for any case that falls outside my scope of practice or that presents a level of medical complexity requiring physician-level diagnosis, prescription management, or acute medical care. This may include, but is not limited to, cases involving unstable or undiagnosed medical conditions, complex polypharmacy, acute illness, or presentations that require coordination with (or referral to) a physician, specialist, or other licensed medical provider.

When appropriate, I will refer clients to a qualified medical provider and may require physician clearance or co-management before continuing nutrition services. Accepting a client for an initial consultation does not obligate me to continue care if it becomes apparent that their needs exceed the scope of nutrition counseling.

Clients are encouraged to maintain an active relationship with a primary care physician for all medical concerns.
